Classically trained in the art of creole cuisine, Chef Momo decided to bring authentic southern meals to Los Angeles with her latest venture, Nikkimomo.

The Beginning

2015

Monique Rigard (Chef Mo) started cooking at a young age, her parents valued family gatherings where food was always a mainstage, especially for creole families. Large pot meals like gumbo and jambalaya were frequently prepared by the elders - bringing historic New Orleans cuisines to Los Angeles.

Chef Mo moved to Atlanta with her husband to raise her children. From her time in the south she learned many southern favorites like mac & cheese, greens, yams, turkey legs, fried chicken and much more. After twenty years she’s back in Los Angeles, started Nikkimomo with her son René in 2015.

Nikkimomo is a food & beverage company providing authentic culinary experiences throughout Los Angeles.
